CFD Simulation of the Slot Jet Impingement Heat Transfer Process and Application to a Temperature Control System for Galvanizing Line of Metal Band

چکیده

A CFD model to simulate the cooling technique trough slot jet impingement has been developed. Such a tested on an existing vertical galvanizing industrial line, which initially envisaged round configuration, subject of previous work. Two different configurations have simulated and compared pre-existing one, in order provide design information for possible new cooler after exploring solutions. The numerical appropriately calibrated validated by comparing it with experimental measurements from literature case. At first, single configuration was through 2D model, then multi were calculated using 3D models. Different turbulence models select best candidate approach. Finally, several slots numbers jet-wall distances considered. It understand physical mechanisms underlying this be able most promising reference process.
